MiNd highly suggests to others that they obtain a new passport or renew their passport if such is expired! Assuming that the individual is able to acquire a passport in the first place.

The need and or desire for a passport can sneak up in life on an individual!
This is one of those things that is best already had and taken care of long in advance of any 'need'.

So whether or NOT you might intend on international travel, Mind highly encourages everybee to acquire a passport from their respective government! And maintain a valid (non-expired) passport!

You never know when the need or desire for international travel might sneeak up on you, and it is quite convienent to already have the passport in hand!!

Just a tip for the collective.. and such tip coming from the most idiotic mind having learned such from first hand experience rather than the wisdom of others..

In the US:

There are several ways to get one. Your local courthouse can usually assist. And, I am pretty sure the post office provides the forms for them as well.

You will need an official copy of your birth certificate which you can obtain from your local social security/records office. Other identification is required including a picture.

Your local Walgreens usually have passport photos.

Costs less than $100 USDs.
