mescaline one pot crystallisation / recrystallisation

It's just some weird idea... would like to know what you think about how well that might work, I've never seen anything like that for crystallisation. And while we're at it, how many mL of EtOH/IPA are needed per g of M.HCl for a recrystallisation anyway ?
The calculated amount of methanolic hydrogen chloride was added to the residue [freebase] and the mescaline hydrochloride was recrystallized from 2-propanol, mp 180-181°C
So, say you've got a (weighed) roundbottom flask with your mescaline freebase dissolved in toluene after an A/B extraction from the reaction mixture .
To get to the (clean) hydrochloride, wouldn't it suffice to
1. distill off the toluene (aspirator),
2. weigh the flask again, calculating the amount of leftover freebase,
3. add the calculated amount of HCl in IPA (dry)
4. add more dry IPA until it's total volume equals the one needed to recrystallise the amount of M.HCl at hand and finally,
5. bring it all to a good boil, let it cool down slowly at first, put in freezer, collect crystals on buchner ?
