and what about an arcHIVE ?

Since this board just started it may be a good idea to start archiving references posted in the different forums right away. Former hive bee Lego was compiling all the useful (scientific) references posted within the Hive (with the help of other bees). It must have been a hell of a job because of the large number of references posted prior to setting up the database. I suggest to appoint one (or two forums) to those willing to help and to make a general database à la Lego.
In this way one can easily find back relevant and reliable information. It would be even better if the files could be stored as well. By clicking on a link one could open it immediately. (But I´m not sure about copyrights)
Just an idea! |

I second that idea...
My communication with synthetika has revealed that the powers that bee are looking for a more permanent webhost and I am sure he will see this post. I have mentioned the idea of archiving all linked refs to him before and although it will eventually take a lot of storage space he seemed to like the idea.
If we start doing it now, as the refs are posted, the task won't be so monumental.

hive collection done

The hive collection, will be up today or tomorrow,
It will be a link from this site, to our servers, where we have collected, and indexed a majority of the files,
When this goes up, then only the mods will hace ftp access to it, and members can post mods, to update, the collection,
I have been working on this the last couple of days,
It looks great, and will be a complete solution, to all the old hive files,
