I am new to Synthetikal...in fact this is my first post.

I was a poster and a lurker at The Hive and used a lot of Rhodium's compiled information (and swif, chromic, etc.). When those resources mysteriously vanished, I started combing a.d.c and, to my good fortune, I stumbled upon a link to this site.

I want to thank the administrators and everyone else for making what appears to be a burgeoning community of creative people. Perhaps the temporary disappearance of Rhodium/The Hive will be a benefit in the long run....you never know the value of something until it is gone. I know personally that from now on I will make sure to devote 25 GBs or more to a compilation of textbook pdfs, files from this board, Rhodium's files, etc., and keep it on a FTP site for all who need it.

Information like this should be freely available.

Thanks again everyone and I look forward to learning and contributing.

Your right,

Since the hive and rhod's went down, we all realise how important this stuff is,
We are now aware that it can happen again, so it is encouraging all of us, to properly plan, a site that never goes down,
It is like a 2nd generation, it's is our job, as a a community to restore, and secure our enviroment,

This place has not been built by just one person, everyone here you see, plays an integral role in it's functioning,

It is our place, and we all care about it very much about it, Now if it goes down, we have many people with access to the admin, who have back-ups,

Soon the powers that be will realize that the more they try to take away what we have,
the stronger and stronger we rebuild it,

This is all about free speech,
You would be suprised the strength we have,
Our site pays for itself, hence the adds, so our community can flourish, with any financial worries,
We are able to host anyforums, for free,
