free chemical DBs?

Greetings,
I'm looking for an advice on where to find a chemical structure (and/or reactions) databases that I could freely download locally.
Most of the free internet DBs only allow for search, not downloads.
I'm looking for the ChemINDEX / ChemRXN type of data.
Thanks,
George |

you could try google...... there are plenty....
although some a very breif, the information on the online merck index is good and free, search google for it, cambridge soft host it i think.
Chemical structures? Reactions? the merck index on cd-rom can be found for download at warez sites, or ftp servers around the place... that has a searchable index of chemicals and name reactions.

Thank you AC. I've read about the warez'd Merck in hive archives, but I'm not sure I'll be able to get it.
I googled a lot but so far the only thing I found was the Klotho project (http://www.biocheminfo.org/klotho/).
Also, I don't really need searchable indexes as I'm going to use the raw data for some statistics and maybe visualisations (coded by me). |

Torrent, eMule - how could I forget about them (perhaps because I have Kazaa associated with spyware -and- I'm too new to chemistry to expect these things to be on P2P).
(found it on torrent just before reading java's post)
java> great list indeed!
Thank you all
