The new reference section has been taking shape, there are a lot of new books and an index to help you view our holdings and a link to them. Soon the books will be uploaded to our ftp to make sure they will be available in case rapidshare dumps them out after a while.

There is a need for all of you to help find wanted books and journal references, there has been a few members that have helped, but still have many references not being found.

The work of finding references is not easy but some tips on how to find them are this.

Use your library resources , look for the book or journal on the web, look by title, then by journal, by author, one of those will help. Another way is to go to the homepage of the journal see if it's one of the free one's , other wise track down the author and write to him/her , tell them you're a student and need their help with a copy pdf, or hard copy, you will be suprised how helpful they could be.

Finally the search for books is not easy , visit some of the per to per areas and look for the books , also visit other forums they too have books......the rest is to file them, I will list them in the index them and inform the member looking for the book/journal that their request is available.

So take some time and contribute to the reference section because the person that may benefit might be you in your next project.

Remember to use the PM(private mail ) to thank the person that found your reference if you feel the urge, but not on the threads at the reference area , as we're trying to keep out the chatter and stick to reference material...........java

The reference forum has been so far a great success, the e-book sections has the highest hits, 1850 to date, of all the forums. The contribution of members finding journal citations and requested e-books has helped assist the membership.

There is still much to do so give the reference section some time and help find some of those citations, and when you post your requests please observe the format.
If you lack the title go the the home page of the journal and get it, just so there are as many ways possible to locate the citation, by journal name , by author, and by title.
