I just found a nice compilation about the use, preparation and results interpretation of different drug testing reagents for qualitative analysis - including Marquis, Mandelin, Mecke and Simon's Reagent as well as many other useful color testing reagents.

"Color test reagents/kits for preliminary identification of drugs of abuse" (US national institute of Justice, Law enforcement and corrections standards and testing program)

Very useful IMO - it also comes with a complete table indicating which substances cause what kind of coloration with which reagent... Wink
