A: The Vespiary
was originally started by an individual who loves his life, the
sciences and liberty. He is a libertarian. The Vespiary is the
product of his interests, and values. He also felt that there was a
need for a website that was unlike many of the other forums of a
similar nature. The creators of The Vespiary are all of the
individuals that have contributed to the site by sharing information
about the sites subjects, as well as information regarding
programming, code, layouts, and how to properly moderate.
Q: Why is it named "The Vespiary"?
A: It
was inspired by The Hive, and as such it has a similar name, a sort
of tribute.. A bee nest is known as a hive, while a wasp nest is
known as a vespiary. Accordingly, the members here are often referred
to as wasps, instead of bees. Another reason, perhaps, is because in
his lab, The common wasp had formed many vespiaries around the door,
and even with in the lab itself. Another species of wasp continued to
nest in his holed stoppers. However, the wasp vs bee analogue has
been carried beyond just what is stated here.
Q: Is The Vespiary administrator at any risk of legal
trouble?
A: He is not at anymore risk then a typical
individual. He does not partake in ANY illegal activities, and does
his best to avoid breaking any laws, regardless of how insignificant
or trivial they may seem. Also, he educates himself, and talks to
others about possible legal implications of owning this site. He
feels this is essential to keep this site running for years. He does
not use drugs except for caffeine and piracetam.

A: Nobody
knows for sure, however the site administrator is going to try to
keep it alive for many years. He regularly makes backups of the sites
contents, and has talked to a few individuals who will help keep this
site alive if he fails to do so for whatever reason, or at least -
the idea of this site.

time involved in running this site is much more.
