Procedure for washing glycol for storage

Swim is going to run the first of many buffered performic reactions (per Labtop's writeup).  After this reaction, the glycol will be stored for later use.

I understand that before storage, it is important to wash the glycol to remove all acid.

Swim plans on washing the glycol with 5% sodium bicarb, then water.

Should this be done before or after boiling away DCM?

Any answers or comments are greatly appreciated.
