Elemicin isomerization?

How receptive would the elemicin molecule be to isomerization with KOH?  Would it end up as a big fat hairy ball of tar, or would it actually isomerize?  Has anyone actually tried it?

Gildermeister and Hoffman in Die Ätherischen Öle 3d Ed, Vol I, 618 determined that the boiling point of isoelemicin is 155-6°C at 10mm Hg and it's density is 1.073  :) [image]
