Would it be possible that trips being sold could be made out of  Psilocybin sourced from mushrooms ?

And could you tell the difference ?

1) Unlikely, as freebase psilocin is unstable in air, according to TiHKAL. I don't know whether the salt is also prone to degradation.
Furthermore, most professional trip-salesmen don't tend to bother with extracting stuff from mushrooms as it is too much work, and you can much easier make mucho goodies by doing some chemistry.

Do the maths: how much mushrooms do you need for 10000 pills, asuming an active dose of 15 mg?

2) That depends. If there are some lazy-ass handymans giving out pills made from 'research chemicals' like 5meo-amt, it might be hard to tell the difference between those pills and a mushroom trip.
