2CB Overdose dose

I have a buddy who wants some 2CB but now is worried about the dosage window being so small it might be dangerous. Anyone have experience with it? Its 2CB-HCl, seems 20mg is the maximum dose? Shulgin noted taking 100mg and "surviving". Thoughts?

2cb is incredibly potent. Would you have a good time on a huge dose? Probably not. 10mg had me absolutely floored, I can't imagine having double that dose and having a good time. I could barely walk. Also consider not the physical side effects, but more so the mental damage a huge amount could cause.

Not every trip report in PiHKAL is by Shulgin. The 100 mg report is not. In fact you can read more about this accident in Shulgin's pharmacology notebooks - can't find it quickly, though it was one of the later typewritten with reports from other people.

I have taken 2C-B HCl of narrow melting point up to > 40 mg, without any troubles. 2C-B doss get intensive fast. Start at 8 mg and work your way up as needed in small increments. When I began starting out, 18 mg was an intense dose, now I usually opt for 22 mg for a nice trip. 2C-B is a friendly material and there are tons of reports of exceedingly high dosages and zero known deaths. Stay within the range given in PiHKAL and this compound will likely not hurt you, but offer much healing to your soul.

I am well aware of the effects, I wasn't asking for that. I am asking, is there an actual deadly dose? I also know erowid - somehow I know this forum but not erowid . I personally don't care for it at all. Set and setting obviously. But is there a dose you can die from - I have found no information proving this. I have don't massive doses of psychedelics before - in my stupid youth - again, does anyone know of a lethal dose?

I think buddy saw the dance safe warning and got a little "oh shit is this fentanyl" Then it I became curious - its not really a popular drug so aren't lots of reports of medical incidents. Also, OFTEN these repots involve extraneous events that, in the name of fear mongering are deleted from the story. Alcohol, mixed drug use, heat, etc. etc.

To the best of my knowledge, there are zero known fatal overdose reports. Some people take over 100 mg regularly. Not a wise idea in my opinion, but hasn't killed them yet. The further you stray from the regular dose, the worse your odds. Don't get cocky. Also note that most people taking 2C-B are perfectly healthy. Some health conditions or medications may lead to hardly predictable outcomes.

If you're exploring entheogens in the Shulgin model you should know to the milligram how much you're taking.

I found it sort of, 'not acid but not mushrooms but not mdma'. Also, it was sort of seemed like you could "control" the experience if that makes sense. Make it come and go. I swear to god my friend and I made the wind blow one night! Not my favorite but nothing bad either. I have heard high doses get into datura/iboga/salvia heaviness.

2c-b is awesome but you definitely want to weigh out capsules with a good milligram scale.  I have a set of Tiny scoops that make pill production go faster. I use red tiny capsules and make them all 10mg.  The color so I don't accidentally think it's mdma and that dose so you can eat one, see you feel and Amp it up if you need to.  Anything above 40mg is not fun to be outside walking around because it's just too intense but 20-30mg makes everything so beautiful. It gives the world a Through The Looking Glass vibe. Fun and introspective:)
