After UTFSE'ing for a while, it seems like there's mention of NaBH4+Al/Hg failures, and not much else regarding the reduction of the dillapiole nitropropene to the amine in the pursuit of DMMDA-2.

Is there any reason an Urushibara type reduction with nickel shouldn't work?
