Abstract
The NO2 group in 4-substituted 2-nitroanilines, 2-nitro-4-(trifluoromethyl)phenol, 2-nitrophenol, and
4-nitrophenol was reduced to NH2 in 80-90% yield by hydrogenation over Urushibara nickel catalyst at 1 atm.
