Has anyone been able to get into the breaking bad marketplace lately?

We are not going to discuss this site here. Their forum is VERY far away from our ideals and the only acceptable part to talk about that we have in common with them is the chemistry, the law/society landscape, the trip reports and bioassays.
They're running practices that can be deemed extremely immoral to say the least, and straight up fucked up to be frank.
End of the road. Nothing to do, no hope of things getting better.

Not to pry, but you’ve struck my curiosity. What do you have against the site?

BB is for people making irresponsible quantities of usually the most harmful substances with little redeeming qualities, all for self-gain. We don't do that here, we exchange information for the sake of the chemistry and pharmacology itself

My issue with them is the crappy attempt at connecting the clandestine chemistry part with the being a dealer marketplace part. They even offered "jobs" for people who are willing to dead-drop bags of mephedrone at given locations in exchange for some of that mephedrone.

This really is not what we are about. Whenever there's even a penny involved, there's shitshow. Our idea is to always, no matter what, share knowledge and help satiate people's curiosity. I don't think anyone ever made money off of Vespiary. Maybe someone sold a hotplate to a fellow chemist through DMs or sth like that, lol.

Not a weapon of war like a hot plate! Won't someone think of the children? We're definitely getting shutdown once the DEA finds out about the black market forum for hot plates  ;D

Is there even good chemistry over there? Mostly seems like a lot of, "bruh, need to make hella grips of stacks of hundies, can I cut MDMA with meth and Benadryl?"  ;D

Is this the reason the vespiary hasn't been shut down like other sites? Talk illicit chemistry all you want, but don't threaten the status quo of capitalism or pharma?

Is that how you see it? 😂

Jeez, junior.....here is a quick tidbit for you to try to wrap your head around - information isn't illegal

What other sites are you referring to?🤔

Even that is optimistic... It's more like, law enforcement simply realized it was not worth the resources continually trying to censor it, so now they treat it as an occasional source of information.

Maybe I am wrong but I'm not aware of any sites other than the hive where it was shut down by law enforcement.

This wasn't because of the information, this was because of other reasons.

To think that any single website 'threatens the status quo of capitalism or pharma' is, well, naive at best....

With the sheer wisdom and elite scientific knowledge such as :

"bruh, need to make hella grips of stacks of hundies, can I cut MDMA with meth and Benadryl?" ( Yes I LOL'd that was spot on)

Why would anyone want to go anywhere else?

LOL @ "Jeez, junior". I suppose I was lumping in the shut down of darknet markets along with the hive. I assumed if markets were shut down fairly relentlessly, so would knowledge sharing site.

I think it's quite easy to distinguish websites that offer fake IDs, fake driving licenses, drug precursor marketplaces and simply chemistry forums. The only websites that have been shut down were energetic materials websites and marketplaces. Truth be told, in most places LE doesn't care enough about some guy running some reaction in his living room. If they don't find it by accident, you'll be fine.

Hive was shut down because of money (Strike selling stuff on his own name). Silk Road was shut down because of money (duh). EM websites are shut down because of risk of terrorism, even if it's an irrational fear.

Are we a danger? Not really.
Should we threaten the status quo of pharma and capitalism? Yeah, probably.
Is Vesp made for this purpose? Not really.
End of the road. Nothing to do, no hope of things getting better.

Maybe I am wrong but I'm not aware of any sites other than the hive where it was shut down by law enforcement.
.......

The-HIVE was never shut down by law enforcement, Strike had passed on the keys to Rhodium for some time already when he went down for him flirting with Mexican organized crime. After Strikes infamous Dateline interview registration was disabled for some time because the place got overrun by enthusiasts....

So not a single one of the boards related to drug-chemistry was shut down. Also I have not heard of anybody whos participation on such boards was even mentioned in a trial, computers were seized often enough and most were not encrypted but wide open - nothing.

Anyways, Fentanyl would be the only topic coming to mind which might be problematic for it being a matter of state security - by Bidens presidential order. Which should be rescinded soon as Trump seems to seriously  do away with every single one.
Marketplaces - now thats another question and thats the reason bbgate will be taken down by LE sooner or later.
Otherwise: It is a new generation, if they want to do things differently no problem with me and it is not all bad, at least peole on bbgate do not feel entitelt to be spoonfed from golden platters for free....

DerAlteSack you are incorrect. The infamous 'Nothing here, nor will there be' page, with the U.S.
Justice department seal on it was the only thing displayed when one tried to access the site after The Science Alliance was connected to HH and the site was taken down.

I'm not sure what you think you know but the govt did seize the domain and shut it down. Anyone around back then knows this if they tried to access it in that short timeframe. True, it was because of TSA primarily but nonetheless it was taken down, there were plenty of people who would have been willing to continue the hive under that banner. The reason this didn't happen is as stated. Whatever it was that was continued was not the original hive domain To this day nobody is clear on who or what rhodium was.

Edit: I am aware that it continued in a much depleted form until 2004 or so, meaning it came back online at some point after I quit going there in 2001 (which was when it was actually closed for however long, IDK)

I was incarcerated from the time of Strikes arrest until 2005 so, yes, I was unaware for a while that it continued in whatever form, but it *was* closed for a time when HH got popped and indicted. Total Synthesis 2, The Science Alliance domain and yes, the original hive, were ALL introduced into evidence in HHs conspiracy indictment. It's highly likely that what little security it had was severely compromised once HH was gone.
