thai kratom powder for chronic pain.
« on: July 19, 2010, 08:19:31 PM »
i've been using this for months.
i'm in chronic pain after a psych doctor cut me off of 8mg/day klonopoison.
i did'nt think i was in a life threatening situation but a week after he high dried me from that stuff i had grand mal seizures went into a coma for 3 days and wound up on dialysis and with searing pain and paralysis in my left leg.
he basically ruined my life.
i'm bedridden all day because of the sciatic nerve crush injury i have shooting pain down the back of my leg, burning pain in my shin and calf and foot all kinds of painful sensations.
we'll thanks to that dr. my situation is now, i live with my mother and have to depend on her for care.
so i use about 10-15 grams as a dose swallow the powder whole it is disgusting.
it's about as good as hydrocodone for pain maybe a little less effective but it allows me to tolerate my situation and move around a bit.
i would highly recommend this for anyone wishing to withdrawl from opiates or in pain.
it does'nt build a tolerance and withdrawl is very mild mainly cold sweats and depression that lasts a few days.
it's not very constipating it's a godsend as my mother won't allow me to see a pain management dr. and goes through all my mail; this was all i was able to talk her into. (a controlling bitch)
you don't get very high from it. if you take enough you get an opiate nod for a few hours.
some mild opiate euphoria and then sedation, if you take enough you can sleep the day away, which is better than constant pain.
very helpful plant.
i give it a thumbs up.

Codiene is an alternative if you manage to aquire some. People give it a bad rap because its not to effective at fucking you up but codine is by far the best when it comes to opiate pain killers. The rest may get you high but all they do is take the edge off the pain whilst Codiene appears to hit the source much better.

Try some GABA as well and that may ease the "heat" pains you get comming off of the clonazapam. If I understand correctly its akin to a goose bumps feeling that burns like fire correct?

well mine is of a nueropathic nature, my sciatic nerve was crushed as i laid in a coma on the floor for 3 days.
i'm still on klonopin because if i stop taking it i suffer violent seizures.
i think it was negligent on the part of my psychiatrist to arbitrarily discontinue me from such a high dose with no advice whatsoever.
ie. he did'nt tell me that i'd possibly die.
he may as well hit me with a 2 by 4 over the head.
thanks for the suggestion on codiene is dihydrocodeine any better?

Don't know about di hydrocodine but recenly my cuz broke there foot and pinched a nerve in the process. They had percs an tylenol 3. They would give me the percs sayin they where worthless and would not come off the T3s. I found this odd till recently I broke my toe. After a couple days of Hydrocodones with little relief I tryed a T3 with codine and low and behold it worked like a charm. LMAO to well honestly because I fucked up my foot again because I wasn't thinking about it anymore but when it boiled down to it pill for pill a codine pill was way better for the pain the the hydrocodone or perecetes where. Not what I expected but trust me on this one. Keep in mind Codiene is nothing more then a prodrug to morphine and many codiene pills come in relativly large doses so large that equivalent amounts of morphine could harm a non opiate user.

Jon, if you are having RSD (reflex sympathetic dystrophy) or any other similar nerve-firing issue, you should check out the emerging practice of using ketamine-induced comas. Apparently such treatments literally "reset" the nerves and "cure" the problem. People have literally walked away completely symptom free from this.

The last I read, its only being performed in Europe and elsewhere (i.e. not in the US). Give it a thought! It could change your life!

As far as Kratom goes, its a very, very interesting compound. It has both an opiate and stimulating effect, and the predominance of one effect over the other occurs at different dosages.

Speak for yourself! Codeine remains my favorite, bar none. There is no rush like a codeine rush, and the exhilaration from codeine is unmatched. Withdrawls are quite tame even if over abused. That's my kinda thing. I had the opportunity to try morphine sulfate for several weeks. Yuck, sedating and felt withdrawl was nasty!

Surprisingly, Tramadol is actually quite a nice thing for me, though many dislike it. You lose massive amounts of weight on it too as it has marked SNRI properties.

Well I am speakiung fr myself nd I said pretty much the same exact thing you just said. Codiene is more powerful. Scientist say its weak but I do not agree.

it hits a ceiling at 400 mg i took 400 mg's once and that was really something, someone told me they made the 6 acetyl ester once it it gave one hell of a rush i.v.ed i know it's dangerous.
i'd also like to point out that st. john's wort is an enzyme accelerator for cpy26a? i can't remember the exact enzyme responsible for demethylating codeines in the liver, but st. john's wort is it.
this is intersting about the ketamine treatment.
the doctors and nuerologists give substandard care (they really don't care) they just want you in and out as quick as possible so they can see as many patients as possible and make as much money as possible.
and that's it.

Dihydrocodeine is far better than codeine, I am prescribed it, and its far better at pain relief, withdrawals are real nasty though.

Was on  morphine IV and IM the last few days in hospital thanks to a bastard of an abscess that made my jaw swell to the size of a tennis ball.

Oddly, I get higher on half a grams worth of codeine syrup than the equal dose of DHC, but pain relief, dihydrocodeine is better.

and a trend reveals itself, because hydrocodone or vicodin is worthless for getting high it can actually be dysphoric and so can diluadid or, hydromorphone.
yet, they will kick some pain.
i think it has something to do with that 7,8 double bond.
because heroin is certainly euphoric where dilaudid just makes you dopey and, that's if it does'nt knock you out first.

Never had hydrocodone, it does not exist in british medical practise, I would have to actually prepare it myself if I were ever to try it.

Usually standard procedure is to give codeine phosphate, usually in the form of co-codamol 30-500s, or tramadol, which is vile stuff, the noradrenergic effects make me prone to autistic sensory problems worsening, I keep myself in artificially induced mild adrenal failure to prevent that, and tramadol makes it a lot worse.

Codeine is the usual thing you will get for even severe pain, morphine if you are in hospital or a cancer patient, I was pretty damn lucky to get DHC, as I have one of those doctors who is of the old school breed that sadly are almost extinct these days who doesn't insist on being addicted to textbook practise, but actually will try alternatives if needs be, would have given me co-dydramol, but actually agreed to give me it without the APAP when I said I don't take paracetamol because it appears in me to be completely inactive.

And I objected to him about taking something added to the DHC that A-has zero effect even when administered via IV line, and B-makes otherwise miniscule, foul tasting pills into gigantic fuckoff horsepills that taste even worse.

true doctors can be quite unsympathetic to the chronic pain patient.
the minute you ask for something to treat pain they write "seeker" all over your medical chart.

i've had bad experiences with tramadol too, it made me feel weird as hell like i didn't want to be touched and it was a weird kind of high that wasn't enjoyable at all.

i've tried a few different strains for kratom and it can be a lifesaver for w/d's but have never used it for pain.  i've heard that bali is the best for pain but it is also the weakest.  bali used to be my favorite but as i upped the dose i started getting vertigo the day after and read it was fairly common with some people and higher doses.  they call it "bali sensitivity" but i never had any problem until after 6 months of use all of a sudden with a new order, from then on out the same problem.  bali is the weakest i've had but also the least stimulating, in fact its not stimulating at all to me.  malaysian green is my current favorite, it's a little stimulating and seems to get my stomach going which none of the other strains do.  indo red was a little too stimulating for my preference and i didn't like the buzz as much as malaysian.  i've had that Maeng Da Kratom too, it was ok, not overly stimulating like indo.  i've never tried thai.

Definitively active stuff. I almost choked trying to get the stuff down, but It relieved pain and was something I would be interested in trying again.

This kratom stuff is very exotic and it is hard to find/buy where I live.
It sounds pretty interesting, much like tramadol to me! (speedy+dopey)

I sure love tramadol, helped me a lot!
And lol,it is true,it can make you pretty upset and angry if someone touches you
or disturbs you with stupid questions when you are chilling out.
But I am usually that way!

Sedit is right, codeine is greatest stuff for pain, at least bearable one.
I NEVER get high form it,even at the 200-300mg doses, maybe just a little,
like 50mg of Tramadol. Weird stuff, and very itchy too!
Codeine sulphat was sold without prescription here before some years ago.
Now codeine phosphate can be found in OTC medicines in combo with paracetamole.
Just dissolve it in water, filter it and drink the bitter water.

Morphine is my favourite, but I never took it, nor anything in this league after I was released from the hospital,
it is very hard to break the habit, it is just not worth unless you are done.

hydro, oxy and others are not available here, nothing to say on that.

This ketamine induced coma seems to be greatest invention in nerve damage related pain for long time.
Give it a try if you have a chance!

If you have some serious pain condition, than grow your own medicine!
Poppies are easy to grow, extract and most people don't have a clue what you are doing.
You can even buy dry or green pods in the flower shops!

Hope you will get well!

Anyone who said to you that poppies do not grow you in tropic like areas is wrong.
I live in subtropic,kind of... ;D

Heat is not problem, poppies LOVE heat, they grow most successfully in the hot and dry Afghanistan
and tropical south-eastern Asia.
Only too much water is a problem, but that depends on the strain.
They grow here on the fields and on the river shores in the summer when water is low.

Just make sure to thin the sprouts, water just enough so that soil is not dry,
after they grown a little bit stop watering,
and don't water then until the dirt is dry as far as you can stick the finger,
even then, water just a little bit.

I don't need to grow them,Gid did it on his own, in plenty!  ;D

i don't know how they grow them over there but all i can say is i grew opium poppies one year and i planted them a little too late in the spring because they were growing nicely then the temperature shot up and hit 90-something degrees, i swear it looked like somebody stomped them to the ground.... the sun/heat did it is what i was told by everyone when i was trying to figure out what went wrong.  by "everyone" i mean a board of successful poppy growers that get big harvests

Neil, key might be is in planting them early. Sprouts are pretty sensitive on heat and cold.
Same thing happened here this year, allmost no poppyes this summer because there was cold violent
storm in late spring that killed sensitive sprouts.

Afghan people plant them pretty early in the spring, that's all I know.
Some strains are also more resistant than others.
