The etymologies of the words "moron" and "idiot" are very similar to the offending word above, as well as maybe a dozen others, before they came to mean foolish or ill-advised to a fault.

Political correctness doesn't work in real life and it definitely doesn't work on the Internet, especially where everyone is of different backgrounds, comes from different places, and are native speakers of different languages. Innocent circumstances can lead to spectacular misunderstandings; take, for example, what happens when one mixes a Russian->English dictionary with a person of color. If offense is assumed, then one will prove quite adept at finding it, even where it doesn't exist.

Text is devoid of almost all tone and much of its context, making nuances like sarcasm indistinguishable from sincerity (and vice versa).

Yes, they are, as I posed a bit earlier actually myself. Although they haven't actually been in use for many years, definitions change, 'nigger' used to be a bit different than it is now. That aside apart, then I must say, that it was never my intent at all to give anyone a bollocking, actually, it isn't personal at all. It gets personal if somebody uses it as an insult, yes, but otherwise, it is entirely business. As an autie community activist, I try to change things like that, by making people a bit more aware of the issues, whereever I see them. So it was never about being pissed off with anyone.

Hehe Psychexplorer, I know what you mean where different languages are concerned. I speak a decent level of ASL, and a few words, but very little BSL too. The sign meaning 'goodbye' here in the UK, in ASL, translates to one of the two signs I know meaning 'bitch'. I can see quite plainly some of the mishaps that must have occurred here and there in translation

And then', about two weeks ago,, a Nurse, who "Really SHOULD HAVE KNOWN BETTER,,"......said TWO things to me,maybe 4 days apart.(If she didnt "Know about my 'history' she would have been blameless,for in most ways her remarks were innocuos,,,

(HOWEVER,, She DID know, in fact we had recently "talked about,,How Much,,"I HATE to 'recall' about my past Medical History' with "New doctors" let alone "NON medically oriented people,,...) which was what she later brought up, unexpetedly,and inappropriately.EXACTLY THAT, at " the wrong time and place"....And I nearly EXPLODED!!! and had a "post traumatic event" ,,the likes of which I havent had in OVER 10 years...and it has taken me, ,'since then',, to get my head back into some 'reasonable shape,,mainly, with the help of talking about it with some good friends,,and them "letting me VENT, Big time!!" Thanx to their, "Love and Care" for me,,I''m feeling 80% better,,BUT 'Still pissed off', and I'm NOT going to let these pricks get away with what recently happened--and will 'hassle them back', using Lawyers, who ARE MORE THAN HAPPY, for 30% of the "take",, to make these guys lives Hell,, and I'll be giving them ALL a 'GO' at what recently happened,,could take a few years,,but i'm not doing anything till my backs repaired,, and I'm Not going to be "pulling ANY punches"...they've "crossed the line," in my book,,
(IMHO,,'A "problem shared" IS (most often) a "problem halved"---MOST PARTICULARLY if the 'problem' is Emotionally based--thats when a "trusted friend" can help you get some 'perspective' on the MINDFUCK,, that has popped in for a bit of 'aggro'....

( Who are Really "Sheeple with a medical degree, and for whom the "Hippocratic Oath" is, effectively just 'another fomality', o to be addressed, on the way to 'becoming', a "Wealthy and Highly Respected (fuckwit 90% of the time-who get greedier as they get older

") "specialist" who rarely gives a shit,, Especiall IF you are a "potential Drug Abuser" (what's that 'mean' Effectively??? AAaaaaaargh!!! let me OUT of HERE!!!!!

Consequently we ALL should "try" to be as 'friendly as possible'..this isn't hard to do..By All means 'speak your mind', just try and keep in mind that there ARE people from ALL over the world in this forum,,and by staying polite 'in' the threads themselves isn't hard

There has been some experimenting going on with the past few months,re; the extraction of "left over fentanyl" in the "new" matrix type patches

A few members have said a well documented and thorough thread would be quite acceptable,,and now fairly consistent results are being obtained....HOWEVER....this is a method for preparing a smokeable product, but there are concerns of a)the 'type' of attention it MAY attract--in particular 'kewls',, (who will end up killing themselves with this data and other ROA's.... $:-\$ )
b) the company that makes this product,to obtain a patent-has convinced the 'Powers that be", that 85% of the active substance,is 'absorbed in the first 24 hrs,consequently there is "little chance of Abuse".....This has been proven to be incorrect

Now due to this extraction being only a few MILLIgrams at a time,,this in itself provides some 'unique challenges for the home chemist'

It would be referenced with copies of the patent for the product, as well as several Published research papers, written on the topic for a variety of reasons, of which, has relevant data to the project

MY DUMB QUESTION IS.....

Should there be a thread of this nature on this forum--Vesp is up for it, for starters

As for a fentanyl extraction post, who gives a shit if it causes a few kewl types to go and autodarwinate themselves? so much the bestter if you ask me, there are too many stupid people in this world that need not be be in it.

Besides, there has been discussion of fentanyl synthesis here too has there not? pretty sure there has. If we allow talk of producing it, then talk of scraping a few scraps off the inside of patches is piss in the ocean really. I could go and buy myself some piperidone tomorrow, if I really wanted to, and be cooking by the end of the week to come up with enough fentanyl or one of its friends to make saturation of this poxed little city of mine a laugh a minute.

Of course I'm not a kewl, and would have a far better chance of surviving, knowing that I'm dealing with something on a per-weight basis, more toxic than a couple of the older nerve agents.

Now I have no intention of making fent, it would require setting up the infrastructure for continuous dealing (I.E addicts to something with a very short half life), and I really, seriously could not be bothered serving customers on quite such continous basis.

As for languages, my second language is signing in ASL , and that is it, as far as fluently 'spoken' languages go, although I have picked up a fair bit of other stuff in latin, ancient greek, russian, german and french (ick! I hated french in school), along with some spanish, and a few words in sumerian/akkadian and again a few more in nahuatl. Not many in either of the latter cases though, just a very few words. Used to be able to curse quite fluently in klingonese also, my former fiancee cazzie, may she be doing well wherever she is, probably helped there, having an autie obsession (or special interest, rather, to use our term, rather than the perjorative outlook) with star trek.

Haven't seen her in many years though.

As for shrooms, I am quite partial to Amanita muscaria, the fly agaric...it is, in my opinion, a shame that orthosteric agonist pharmacophore (I.E competitive agonists at the GABAa and GABA-a-Rho/formerly known as GABAcR, GABAa being more the important one whilst GABAc is mainly expressed in the retina, with a most limited distribution within the brain) is very limited, mainly to isoxazoles such as muscimol. I quite fancy trying gaboxadol and the much more potent than either the latter or muscimol, as well as isonipecotic acid and balamuzole.

OK genii what happened here and why ? Its an alkaline ( KOH ) water alkaloid mix with benzine on top . The fotos are SHIT cos they dont realy show it as it was = the benzene was clear and there are white bits / blobs , looked like sperm in the bath , bits that keep flowing from the bottom of the benzene part to the top , then flowing to the sides and then dropping back down to the emulsion / fat layer again ..... over and over again . It looked like it was snowing upwards . It went on for hours n hours ...... dont know how long cos it was ignored and not timed .

The third foto is alkaloids disolved in water that had been filtered and then put in a freezer to dry at - 20°C . Why has it got the patern it has ? Is the dark "spot" the place where the freezing started to form the first ice crystal and the milky way type stripes = salts in the mix were formed by the water shrinking away from the salts to the dark spot part ?
