Following the directions by akcom, I have made it so they do not refer the referrer.
Thank you for the help.
Sorry  about the profiles. I will get on that now!
They should be visible right now - if anyone objects now... do so, or change your email from visible to private if you don't want it to be shared, and have it visible - it is easy to change by clicking... Profile -Account Related Settings - then Check Hide email from public?
However, you shouldn't use an email that you don't want shared on such a site like this to begin with...if you get what I mean.. once you sign up IIRC you can also change your email to one that doesn't even work....

It works also - I tested this out on another site, and it shows it -- here it just leaves it blank.

I would suggest Dwarfer's diabolical Diatribes and deliberations, Devices of dubious distinction, Descriptions depicting discorded and disseminated deviancy and dearth destroying daring.

A question .... Why did you choose this site software ? And why not another ?

An observation ...... the quoteing system is suboptimal because the print is so mini small ..... AND ..... the PM system is CRAP because it opens another window and because one cant see the posts that one has written when one gets a reply = its hard to answer when one cant see what the poster is answering to .

At the time, I figured it to be the best.

An observation ...... the quoteing system is suboptimal because the print is so mini small ..... AND .....
Eh sorry I guess do ctrl + or ctrl and Scroll up on your mouse

the PM system is CRAP because it opens another window
That is a default setting you can change... I have it that way so people actually see they have a PM since the little 1 by the message is less noticeable..

and because one cant see the posts that one has written when one gets a reply = its hard to answer when one cant see what the poster is answering to .
Did you scroll down a bit?
You can see the thread when you make a fast reply (above it) and a normal reply (but the thread appears below it)

Simple Machines Forum software is highly regarded by reviewers:

h**p://www.techsupportalert.com/best-free-website-forum-software.htm

and very popular for many reasons:

h**ps://secure.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/wiki/Comparison_of_Internet_forum_software_%28PHP%29

so it's been used worldwide for many purposes  ;)  It's certainly not as good as what was created to host the Hive, but that was designed for a website of this type while SMF is general purpose forum software  :-X  We have to work with what's available publicly  8)

Customized software designed for this type of forum  ;)  Many features were unique, and thus completely unknown to commercial software developers 8)

For the PMs press Quote instead of reply - than you'll see what they said and quote them also... helping them remember what they said as well :)

Hey vesp, do you think it would be possible to include some type of 'autosave', like G mail has, that automatically backs up what you're writing into a "drafts section" every second.....    For when one i 'lose a post' that I've just spent some time on, that has just "disappeared on me", and this has happened, a few times to me! :'(

Originally, it was due to my own errors in using the auto logout system,,,but now,,its just a random event, and be It, a "pm, post, whatever", which has just vanished into cyberspace,Is Really Frustrating, and I think anyone who's used a computer regularly,,has had the Major Disappiontment of the loss of ALL ones work >:(

It just happened to me, a moment ago, when this post I had been working on all day, in bits and pieces, checking facts and such, 30 minutes here, then a 2 hour break, and back for another 20mins, then away again for a few hors, all this time I'm "logged in and online" and then,, when the link went down for a millisecond..!!!   DAMN!!!

I would LOVE this feature, if its Not a Problem, in any way, security,or other?

  Cheers Hyppy

I believe in the future there will be a mod for this, as some people are working on it for SMF forums, however I cannot find one after searching for a while - if someone else knows of one.. I'd be interested. Some "sort of" exist, but they look much less than ideal.

Waiting for it to be de-indexed. The way to get them to work is to change it from
http://127.0.0.1/rhodium/Rhodium/chemistry/indole-2-bisulfite.html
too

Right, but since google doesnt know about the new root folder none of them are indexed so you should be able to update the broken links right?

i have a proposal. I understand you want to increase the quality of this place, and want posters to keep to your rules. If you dont want everyone not liking the admins, which alot of people here dont, then instead of moving low quality posts into the "vacous posts" thread, where posts "lack inteligence" and "show no initiative" and is basically the garbage can and is labeled as such, just delete them. As soon as the thread pops up or goes off track, just delete the low quality posts, or the entire thread if need be all together.

It is simple, clean, does not insult the person creating the thread by making a mockery of them and put them on display, and it makes the admins look less evil. most people wont even know the thread started or the post was posted, then let people post as they please and when the admins rock in, delete away the crap..

what you think?
