Rumor has it that you can get around $50 worth of Devcoins (a weird fucked up bitcoin thingy) by submitting ~1000 word essays of any sort - it can be fictional, poetry. research paper, etc...to the Devcoin community. In doing so, this makes the content donated creative commons work.
If the people here at The Vespiary are in college and want to donate the old essays, poems, fictional writing, research papers, etc that they own, this could help raise capitol for TV.
If it works well and makes a lot of money, we can have extra features added to this website, help pay for hosting, and that sort of stuff.
Perhaps better moderation tools, get rid of any logging of personal data, help make it so sending encrypted messages is better, etc
Really that aspect would be up to the community to decide later.
Anyway, I'd like to experiment with this Devcoin thing and the potential to raise money for The Vespiary.
