ah Pink Floyd "animals"  another great album 8)

it reminds me of those mild overcast days with no wind where everything takes on a surreal and enchanted hue :) walking through the bush one could almost feel the spirit of everything!

and this album's haunting music added that eerie abandoned post industrial wasteland flavor to the moment

f1's first acid trip was on such a day and floyd's animals were singing in the background across the daze events 8)

I think it was playing at some period, in half the peoples places visited which made for some really weird 'continuities' leaving one place half way through a side and rolling up somewhere else to hear it continued :o  fun but ;D

listening to it these days can still evoke those hazy post apocalyptic feelings 8)

not a big fan of tom petty even though most of my friends with who I share common musical tastes, are, (sshhh it's ok ok?! yeah, I know i'm weird :-[)
he just never 'did it' for me
 no heartbreakin, nuthin ???

Speak o'the devil.......

Lamb of god isn't one of his favourite bands.....what does the amphibian one listen to:
even vast/even more vast (they changed their name, little known band, under-appreciated, but damn, what a voice she has)

draconian, otep, opeth, kittie, mudvayne rammstein (these guys are some sick fucking bastards, some of the shit they sing about is majorly twisted)

First two albums from papa roach, then they sold out and went all faggoty poprock, not the heavy, gritty stuff they started with. a few of their other songs are ok but in general the first two albums were great, then they just started to blow goat.

Meshuggah, khanate, sunn0))),marilyn manson, disturbed, cradle of filth,

lol yeah! I dont mind the rhythms at all  but I'm not so big on the heavy industrial sounds so much these days :)  A Perfect Circle and 'similar' remind me a bit of the long forgotten deutsche electro bands like Can and Tangerine Dream which I once listened to, but these daze I usually prefer something a bit more 'melodic' i.e....

Ick...Toady isn't a fan of electronic music at all.

Only electro stuff he likes are those bands with a heavy/dark touch, like Rammstein, Angelspit, psyclon-9, skinny puppy etc.
Music he can't stand: pop, rap (which just isn't music, full effing well stop!), c(o)untry, techno.

Fucking shallow, commercial mass-market cloned, pre-chewed insipid pop is the absolute pits. Give toady Soilwork or just give him a pair of bloody earplugs:P

This kind of shit tickles my fancy...  First time I heard this album was with a head full of acid.  My jaw hit the table and remained there for the duration of the album.

nigluhS used to be like the TOADman, and despise techno music. Like most genres, it is chalk full of total shiet.
But since my resurgence interest in mind altering psychedelics, I have actually found a soft spot in my heart for some of it. Specifically the Psychedelic trance genre.

Infected Mushroom is pretty darn dope:

Here are my 5 deserted Island CD's

Journey in Satchidanda by Alice Coltrane is really trippy but still really hip 60's NYC Jazz
           http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hFDiXszQeVY
Kid A by Radiohead best Apocalyptic Danceclub album EVER!!!
Figure 8 by Elliott Smith is a darker, more modern beatles
Closer by Joy Division
A Love Supreme by John Coltrane

I think they mix together well except the john coltrane which is very serious and not weird like the others.  Sargent Peppers' Lonley Hearts Club Band by the Beatles would probably mix in better but I havent listened to it enough to profess obsession with it.  Unlike the others which are my favorites

Toady likes APC, wouldn't bee on his deserted island CDs though, at least, their heavy stuff.

What makes that list?

1-Papa roach-infest
2-Even Vast-teach me how to bleed
3-Dven Vast-Outsleeping
4-One of the Draconian albums, not sure which one
5-not sure, hard to pick, maybe Mudvayne-the end of all things to come, golden age of grotesque  by marilyn manson, or alternatively, perhaps Mudvayne-LD:50, Rammstein-sensucht, Disturbed-believe. If toady is going to be on a deserted island what else would he take?

three knives, one swiss army knife, his big, strong lock knife, and something heavy, like a gurkha knife, or parang for hacking through dense undergrowth and splitting coconuts etc. or whatever similarly hard food grows. And of course, a sharpening stone.

Compass.

Fishing line and hooks.

A tent, with sleeping bag and portable blowup air mattress. waterproof covering, plastic sheeting

A rifle+scope, in either 5.56 or .357 magnum, and a pistol, probably a .50 caliber desert eagle, loaded with hollowpoints, and armor piercing ammunition alternately stacked in the magazine in case of attack by dangerous wildlife...a .50 cal load and a doubletap between the eyes is pretty much guaranteed to be at least somewhat offputting should a crocodile, big cat, bear, or muslim get pissy and decide they want to remove my head and/or eat me.

A shotgun, preferably a combat shotgun, with some 00 buckshot and solid slug shells.
Some flares, a  flare gun for getting out of said deserted island, and some explosives, should they ever be needed for demolition, mining etc. Something stable such as semtex or C4 with timers and detonators.

A set of night vision goggles compatible with the hand-crank battery charter Toady would bring.

A petrol lighter, plenty of spare flints and fuel, and a spare wick. along with a few disposable lighters, and a few of those fire-sticks made from cerium alloy/magnesium.

A good few MREs and bottled isotonic sports drinks to last until he can hunt something down, he wouldn't want to go hungry and thirsty for a week, vitamin pills. Dried spices to make bland food he might catch, or otherwise unpalatable yet edible things eatable. Tea bags-lady grey; instant coffee made with proper high quality arabica dark roasted beans.

Cooking equipment-frying pan, deeper pan, knife, fork, spoon, plastic plate, cup and bowl.

Pair of sharp, large scissors and a pair of smaller sewing type scissors.

Shaver+way to charge it up.

Clothing? a good set of waterproof boots, and a set of trainers, socks, underwear, tough jeans and light combat pants, shirts and warm overshirts. Leather trench and my hooded, very water resistant army surplus camo coat.

Sewing needles and thread.

Toothbrush&toothpaste.

Water purification tablets.

A torch.

A blowtorch&spare gas.

Glassware setup for distillation and reflux, scales, spare batteries and hand-crankable charger, and a few basic reagents-conc.HCl and H2SO4, red fuming HNO3...hmm..that petrol lighter might just have to run on toluene as fuel, just in case toady ever needed to blast a hole in anything xD
KOH, ammonium perchlorate for generating ammonia and other things, things that want strong oxidants.

Meds: clonidine, tizanidine, chlormethiazole, IV vials of morphine, 80mg oxycontins, hell, a bottle of pure oxy powder, screw IR capsules full of insolubles. Methoxetamine. Syringes, 0.2 micron filters and needles, 28 gauge 3/4 inch. Epi-pen and injectable antihistamine kit, just in case he ever had an allergic reaction to local food plants. Antihistamine tablets, something long acting and non-stupifying, fexofenadine probably, he uses that already with his oxy.
Corticosteroid tablets, and a kit with the equipment to perform minor surgery, antibiotics, both broad spectrum systemic antibiotics and topical cream. Toady's Nitrazepam and loprazolam, pregabalin. Xylometazoline nasal sprays-tizanidine gives toady a blocked nose when plugged, as does clonidine.

A large vial of DMT and a suitable pipe to vaporize it from. A couple of bottles of strong drinkable alcohol, dark rum and russian vodka, a big bag of skunk, a bag of hash, few oz of each, some tobacco, extra-thin rolling papers, an intermediate-acting highly selective DARI stimulant, and some regular rolling baccy, liquorice skins.

Tea tree oil, maybe as much as a liter. Some domperidone orodispersible tablets, lavender oil.

Seeds-lavender, spices and herbs such as lemon balm, balm oil, and of course; THE herb-a nice pure sativa, likewise a pure indica, a mix, each with some ruderalis genetic heritage for the autoflower ability, opium poppy seeds, something nice and strong, with big heads, catnip seeds and essential oil. Seeds for a DMT containing plant, Desmanthus illinoiensis would bee a good choice. Harmala seed and yopo tree seeds. 'Ol toady needs the odd trip for psychic cleansing.
Wheat seeds, rye seeds etc. A small, sharp hand trowel and a lightweight spade.

Guidebooks to the local plants and fungi. Pens, pencils and notebooks.

Ahh...well if toady had to bee stranded somewhere, he might be a bit stuck there. What are the chances of getting marooned along with a cute, single, autistic female? He has no sexual interest in NT women at all. Hasn't done for many, many years. Nothing against them, but attracted to them? no. He has met some nice looking ones, sure, and been in relationships with neurotypical females, but they never really did it for him in the slightest.

It would sort-of like trying to make himself gay (and he is no fag..let them give each other the clap if they wish, just not where Toady has to hear about it), trying to force an attraction to an NT girl, it just wouldn't work. Although he can survive without company of any sort, female or otherwise, if he has to. Just the same as he doesn't ever NEED to socialise. He would sooner be with one of the aforesaid attractive, spesh girls though. He has been contemplating trying to track down one of his ex fiancees, the autie one of the two (the other has traits, at the very least, quite possibly aspie...the autie one though...she drove him wild) If she can't be found, or isn't single, then in all likelihood, after losing his last GF, the love of his life, there is VERY little chance that toady is ever going to enter another relationship. He can only be with someone if he can give everything to them, the way he sees it, to do less is disrespectful, and shows inherently, that the other person is not special enough to be with in the first place. If someone isn't worth committing to 100% then they are not worth it at all.

Lol fresh, you might have a better chance of survival if Toady is on board. He knows his plants, food and medicine wise well, and his toxicology. And a decent knowledge of survival techniques. And of course, he is creative. Although if there is any running to be done, what with his hip and his knee then you can be the one who does it. Toady is not about to be able to leg it anywhere any time in the forseeable future. Although hopefully all the medical appointments of late will come to something.

He dreads the thought of further surgery though, the last one was most unpleasant. Pain and nerve damage are things he doesn't want.

Well it would. AFAIK its not possible to change one's sexuality. Short of things like stroke affecting the brain. He couldn't turn himself into a faggot (not that he wants to....eww), and just the same, couldn't just decide to be attracted to women that aren't autistic. He would rather sleep with one than a man, however :P

He HAS been in relationships with NT women but they were not satisfying, not one of them. And he sees no reason to get in any more of such relationships, whats the point? if he doesn't find them sexually attractive at all, then he can't very well pleasure the other half, and thus can't commit fully to a relationship. And a relationship without the total trust(worthyness) and total commitment is not one worth entering in the first place.
