A Simple Protocol for Efficient N-Chlorination of Amides and Carbamates
Lidia De Luca, Giampaolo Giacomelli*, Giammario Nieddu
Synlett
2005(2): 223-226
DOI: 10.1055/s-2004-836061

Abstract

N-Chlorination of various amides, lactams, and carbamates with very cheap trichloroisocyanuric acid proceeds efficiently under very mild conditions. Excellent results were also observed for the N-chlorination of carbamates of free amino acids.

Have you tried asking for it over at sciencemadness? I know their are a few German members and they might be more likely to have access to it if it is in German.

Electrosyntheses based on reactions of addition of electrochemically generated radicals to ethylene and its derivatives—I. Electrosynthesis products and the influence of electrolysis conditions on the addition product yield

Electrochimica Acta
1982,  Volume 27, Issue 7, Pages 919-928
doi:10.1016/0013-4686(82)80216-8

Abstract
It is shown that radicals electrochemically generated under Kolbe and Brown—Walker syntheses can, in principle, be added to ethylene and is derivatives. Products formed under electrolysis of acetic, monochloroacetic, trichloroacetic, trifluoroacetic, propionic, oxalic and other acids, as well as monomethylglutarate and monomethyladipinate, in the presence of various acceptors, such as ethylene, propylene, fluoroolefins and dimethyl ester of maleic acid, are separated and identified. It is shown that products of type

The influence of electrolysis conditions on the addition product yield is investigated. An increase in the acceptor concentration is shown to increase the total yield of addition products and the yield of higher oligomers. An increase in the current density reduces the yield of addition products.

Clavicipitaceous endophytes of grasses: Their potential as biocontrol agents
Keith Claya
Mycological Research
1989, Volume 92, Issue 1, Pages 1-12
doi:10.1016/S0953-7562(89)80088-7

Abstract
Many grasses harbour systemic clavicipitaceous previous termendophytesnext term in their leaves, stems, and seeds. Laboratory experiments and field observations have shown that infected plants are often toxic to livestock and more resistant to insect herbivores than uninfected conspecifics. Recently developed inoculation techniques allow artificial infection of grasses and the development of new varieties with high levels of previous termendophytenext term infection. The fungi have applied potential as biocontrol agents against insect pests of grasses although their utilization may be limited to non-pasture situations. Exploitation of this naturally occurring symbiosis may obviate the need for chemical pesticides in managed grasslands.
